Meet the man behind the machine

My name is Randal Scot Nichols. I am a 27 year veteran ASE Master, L1 Advanced level Specialist and GM Master Certified Technician, having specialized in diagnosing difficult concerns for many years. A few years ago, I was attempting to use the Pico WPS500x injector drop test on a GDI 2012 Buick Enclave. I saw something that my experience indicated was an issue, I attempted and then misdiagnosed a GDI fuel system fault. I'm sure you'll agree that as technicians, we take extreme pride in "getting it right the first time" and I found this extremely embarrassing. This failure started a multi-year research project into GDI system design, function and testing procedures and ended in the invention of the ADDi (Automated Dynamic Diagnostic Interface), my patented direct inject diagnostic interface for dynamically measuring GDI flow drop and recharge. As the ADDi project has continued, I realized that my area had no solutions for local on-site high-end support for programming, ADAS calibrations, keys/key fobs or advanced diagnostics. My goal is to stand shoulder to shoulder with and empower professional automotive technicians and shops, in my area, to keep more jobs in-house. This is accomplished by a comprehensive and specially tuned equipment loadout, targeted at nonstandard situations that normally require sublet to the dealer. I won't promise to be able to do everything 100% of the time, because that's just not realistic.
